We also have some fine galleries and arts venues and there is a constant calendar of events that keeps visitors entertained all year round.

Artworks Theatre

Waiheke Island Cinema
A stunning little quirky theatre where you can relax and enjoy mainstream or more obscure movies. The theatre seating is cosy sofas and screenings take place daily.

Waiheke Community Art Gallery
The Waiheke Community Art Gallery is an inspiring arts space in Oneroa village. It shows visual arts and crafts in New Zealand, alongside the cultural activities of Waiheke Island. They host up to 32 exhibitions a year.
Entry into the gallery and its exhibitions is free.

The Red Shed
The Red Shed is an art collective at Palm Beach. Opens between 10am and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays and is always displaying new works by local artists.

Many of Waiheke’s artists live and work from their homes. You’ll find lots of useful information about these and other artists here.

Music
If you’re interested in classical music or live music gigs Waiheke is a great place to explore.

Whittacker’s Music Museum in Oneroa is a live music space where you can listen to performances by local and international artists playing traditional instruments.
